Learning to Pause

As you all know this past weekend was Fourth of July weekend, and Ryan got a three day weekend to celebrate the holiday. Usually weekends don't mean a whole lot for me because as a business owner I am always working on something. This weekend was the first time in at least a year that I just allowed myself to relax and enjoy some down time with my husband.

I guess I always felt like if I took a break, I would find myself overwhelmed with work when I came back to it. But I was pleased to discover that the break actually didn't cause me to get lost under a landslide of projects. Instead it gave me the additional motivation to move forward and knock out some work. So I learned that breaks are good. We all need them sometimes.

But now back to business.
The website is really coming along. All that's left is the galleries and trying to figure out why they aren't working. Both the design and photography sides of the site are all laid out. The content is all created. I just need the galleries to come together. Oh - and I have to take some photos for my Information page. So that is still in the works too. :)

My new branding materials have been fully created and designed. Now I'm simply printing the pieces as I need them. Hopefully I get something put together to show it all together here in a few weeks.

I started working on Meagan and Joe's Wedding Album. We decided to use Miller's Lab because they give you a lot of options, great quality and reasonable prices. I started laying it out today through Miller's Remote Suite, which is an interesting program. I haven't decided if I like it yet. By the end of creating this album, I'm sure I will have come to a decision.

AND I'm super excited about tomorrow! I'm going to be doing Erynn's senior photos. She had some cute ideas and I can't wait to put my own twist on them. I just hope the shoot at the theater goes smoothly. I should have pictures from the session up on Friday...that's my goal anyway because I have a wedding this weekend.

Well that's all for now. It's time for me to get back to work on this wedding album. But before I go I will leave you with a photo that just makes me smile.
Gotta love a happy puppy! :)
